This attractive pale blue grey cabinet originates from the Northern Chinese province of Shanxi and dates from about 1920. The doors have images of peonies in bright reds and pinks. Traditionally peonies symbolise female beauty, as well as richness, honour and high social class. It has been reconditioned in an artisan workshop in Beijing and has been fitted with a removable inner shelf. The size and still bright floral motifs make this a strong statement piece for your home. These well-proportioned cabinets are well placed as extra storage in a bathroom, kitchen or even office.
