Vintage Indigo Katazome Cotton Scarf "Playing Tigers" Pattern

Vintage Indigo Katazome cotton scarf.  230cm x 44cm

This beautiful and unique indigo textiles are over 70 years old. Unstitched from blankets, preserving the original selvedge. They were made from 100% hand loomed cotton that was natural indigo dyed using ancient Katazome (resist paste) techniques.  The repeat tiger playing with a ball patterns symbolises protection, good luck and prosperity.  The scarf is soft and has been skilfully mended by a local London mender and artist.

Hand wash cold water with a gentle fabric soap. Line dry.
