Porcelain Jade & White Glaze Mug

This porcelain coffee mug was hand made in Jingdezhen, the renowned ceramics capital of China. It is part of a range of tableware by an artisan ceramicist who specialises in creating glazes with variable colouring, requiring a heat of around 1250°C.

Inspired by regional landscapes the exterior displays a delicate wave of pale jade and brown, like an impression of distant mountains. The inside has a pale cream glaze with a light brown signature swirl at its base, made by the maker's finger tips. These special mugs have a two tone glaze with both mat and gloss, making them tactile and luxurious to hold.

The mug measures 9.5cm in diameter and is 8.5cm high. (Sizes vary a little as these items are hand made.)
