This vintage elm cabinet comes from Shandong Province in Northern China and dates from the 1920s. It has recently been reconditioned in an artisan workshop in Beijing. The restored finish is achieved by applying many layers of varnish and rubbing back areas between successive layers to reveal the natural wood.
With two main doors opening into a removable inner shelf in the main storage compartment this compact piece has three good-sized drawers at the top and overall creates a surprising amount of additional space. Ideal for busy rooms that need that extra amount of tidy space such as living room, nursery, bathroom etc.
With its tasteful yet bohemian style this medium sized cabinet is a wonderful addition to any interior. Its look and versatile design bring a distinctive touch to any property.
