Originating in the Shanxi Province of Northern China, this small pine cabinet dates around 1920. It has been restored in an artisanal workshop in Beijing bringing back its original beauty.
This cabinet has two ample upper drawers and a large internal space accessed by main doors. As part of the restoration, the piece was given a new removable inner shelf, making the storage compartment more flexible. Using a special technique to apply layers of pain and then rubbing back, this piece has a rustic and charming appearance.
The cabinet provides more space inside than first appears and make a wonderful addition to busy rooms that need extra tidy space, such as living room, nursery or office. Its dark green/grey colour with lightly distressed effects make this a stunning statement piece for any room.
