This Japanese-made ceramic bowl has a beautifully textured glaze with swirling layers of brown and grey brush strokes on top of a dark mottled background. The layers of glaze are not applied in a set pattern so each bowl has a unique appearance.
It is the perfect size for a hearty bowl of udon or miso soup. It measures 17cm in diameter at its rim and is about 8.5cm high.
