Red Cast Iron teacup and saucer

This Japanese cast iron tea cup and saucer set has a textured red exterior and a black gloss enameled inside. 

Through special treatments, impurities are removed from the cast iron during the production process. A coating of misty red enamel is then applied to help prevent the formation of rust.
